Wilmington Vegan has several events scheduled through the rest of the year! Mark your calendars!
Our next POTLUCKS will be
• Sunday, Oct. 27, from 1-3pm (theme: Halloween & Day of the Dead)
• Thursday, Nov. 28, from 1-3pm (theme: Local foods/Thanksgiving)
• Tuesday, Dec. 24, from 4-6pm
There’s also a CARROT MOB on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25 from 1-3pm. The location is Uncle Lim’s Kitchen, 3905 Independence Blvd. (corner of Carolina Beach Rd.) Wilmington. Carrot Mobs are simply gatherings at local restaurants with vegan offerings. It’s a way to dine together, support the businesses that support us, and build community.
ABOUT THE POTLUCKS
Potlucks are held in the Great Room of South Front Apartments, 1400 S. 2nd Street, Wilmington. There is ample, free off-street parking in the Visitor Lot (unmarked spaces only). See map below for details. If the gate to the complex is locked, the passcode will appear HERE 30 minutes before the potluck starts.

For Halloween, think spooky treats, pumpkin flavors, or “bloody” recipes with beets or raspberries—such as these 3-ingredient Bloody Cups:

For Day of the Dead, anything Mexican would be fantastic. There are also traditional Día de los Muertos foods, like this Day of the Dead Bread: https://www.alecooks.com/vegan-day-of-the-dead-bread/
But don’t let the theme get in the way of attending! Honestly, ANY kind of dish is welcome—as long as it’s 100% VEGAN. This means no meat, fish, butter, milk, chicken stock, honey, gelatin, and the like. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask!
Our potlucks are open to everyone, vegan or not. The purpose is to gather and enjoy each other’s company while sampling an array of yummy foods made entirely from plants. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s a child-friendly space too.
We ask that you come with a generous amount of food and consider bringing extra if you have children or are attending as a group. We encourage you to label ingredients and share recipes!
In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, this is a WASTE-FREE EVENT. Kindly come with YOUR OWN UTENSILS, BOWL, PLATE, CLOTH NAPKIN, and drink. Let’s use only reusable items—no paper or plastic, nothing that will end up in the trash.
